History
Roger and Jane initiated Kelsey Creek Laboratories over twelve years ago, focusing primarily on orchid seed germination and orchid cloning.
Both have extensive backgrounds in plant tissue culture research in academic laboratories and Jane has been a research scientist in commercial companies where she worked on a variety of crop plants, including carrot, maize, soybean, sunflower, and potato. Roger has a background in genetics and has worked on somatic embryogenesis in plants and mutagenesis in both plants and insects. Both bring their training and expertise into the world of orchid micropropagation.
Although they feel they serve their clientele well, they continue to make improvements in culturing quality orchid seedlings.
After their research on Cypripedium montanum they have been focusing more on culturing and growing terrestrial orchids, both as a service to seed clients and growing terrestrials to sell to hardy orchid enthusiasts.

Jane has over 20 years of experience tissue culturing a variety of plants in both biotechnology companies and university research laboratories. Roger has years of research experience with a variety of organisms, including plants in tissue culture.
